This was one of my most memorable theater-going experiences, and I often refer to Rush's brilliant performance as one of the greatest I've ever seen. I found him to be simply magical, for many of the reasons jnb9872 gives.
(I also thought he gave one of the greatest Tony acceptances speeches ever, and am bummed it's not on YouTube anymore. I like to talk about David Mamay's Speed ze Plow.)
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.
