So sad to see a legend go.
On her website, it says she has a DVD of a 2008 performance @ an English jazz festival. It will be available in the USA shortly
One of the songs "I'm Still Here"

I can't believe it. Remember her as the cat woman, when I was younger, and she was fabulous. When Wild Party performed on the Tonys I remember saying that I had to see her. Fortunately I was able to see her perform "When It Ends" live at the Public Theater's anniversary at City Center... Electrifying!!! RIP.
Also, her rendition of "I'm Still Here" might be my favorite.

That stupid saying that celebrities die in threes better not come true today
So sad.
She has a wonderful I'M STILL HERE, and I was just listening to her on THE WILD PARTY recording the other night.
Have to watch my NEW FACES OF 1952 DVD in tribute.... her performances in that are stunning.
What a loss ... I remember her great turn at the BROADWAY BARES event a few years ago. Local news channel (NY1) says she was working up until 6 weeks ago, when she finished something for PBS to be shown in February.
Wonderful article on Ms. Kitt from a few years back
Oh wow, I can't believe shehas passed away! My mother and I were just talking about how great she was in he Great Joy concert when she "interrupted" then joined Stephanie D'Abruzzo for a version of "Santa Baby". She will be missed

An addendum to CurtisTaylor's post:
Here is Kitt's performance of "I'm Still Here" on the Olivier telecast during the London run of "Follies" in the late 80s.
I'm Still Here
The woman was fierce. In fact, she was the definition of fierce. May she rest in peace.
I feel bad to say that I recognize the name but I only saw her in Emperor's New Groove.
RIP Eartha.
Keep it real up there with Pinter, Kitt.
I hope her and James Dean are dancing some Dunham up there!
You had to see Eartha play softball in Central Park with a six foot head scarf.
Loved Her.
She will be miss!
Here's a song dedicated to my friend, Corine -you find it hun, someday!

We saw her do a two-hour show last year at the Warner Theatre in DC -- she was incredible! A true star. A legend. The world is lessened through her loss.
But there is some singin' and purrin' going on upstairs now that the heavenly Eartha is home.
RIP to one of the greatest divas of them all.

I met Eartha at a special presentation of ALL ABOUT US.
EARTHA picked me to sing to and I was moved beyond words.
After I spoke to Eartha about her incredible career.
Eartha was an incredible performer minus diva attitude.
She will be missed.

This is the first Christmas "Santa Baby" made me cry.
Rest in peace, dear lady. I and many others will miss you.
What a shame. All angels need to go to heaven at some point, I suppose. She did look good for 81, though, as an added note.

I took a look at my old Playbills. She was in the version of "The Wild Party" that I'd seen.
This was the saddest christmas. RIP. You were an amazing preformer!
Sad. An inspiration in so many ways.

Heartbreaking news. What an incredible performer.
This wasn't a very merry Christmas for the theater community, I'm afraid.
