Headed to NYC for a long Easter Weekend Trip.
Part 1: My main purpose is I want to see The Band's Visit. I really would like to see Katrina Lenk as I hear her performance is amazing and was curious if she regularly takes off matinees or anything like that. I am debating between going to the Saturday Matinee or the Saturday evening show on 3/31. Clearly, I know there are no guarantees and will be happy to see the show, but just trying to make sure if (for example) she regularly has someone do the matinees that I at least try to optimize my chances of seeing her.
Part 2: I will probably try to see 3-4 other shows--could be Broadway, Off-Broadway or Cabaret-Style shows. I am there Thursday 3/29-Sunday 4/1. Of what is currently playing, I have seen: Dear Evan Hansen, Waitress, Phantom, Hamilton, Wicked, Lion King, Book of Mormon, Hello Dolly, The Play that Goes Wrong, Avenue Q, Kinky Boots, Jersey Boys and Chicago. Any recommendations?

Lenk did both of the Wednesday matinees I've been to.

I have greatly enjoyed both Anastasia and Once on This Island, the latter enough to go twice (and bring my musicals-skeptic father, who also loved it).

First of all, The Band’s Visit is great and Lenk played the Saturday matinee when I saw it. It’s only a 90-minute show so I don’t think she takes any scheduled shows off each week.
I don’t think you said that you have seen Hello, Dolly! yet so that’s a definite must see. Even if you saw it with Bette or Donna, it’s worth checking out again with Bernadette. Also, Sweeney Todd off-Broadway. I’m also very optimistic that My Fair Lady at Lincoln Center will be great. I also wish I had been able to see Once on This Island when I’ve been to NYC recently.
You didn’t mention if you like non-musicals. I’m really hoping I make it to New York City to see Three Tall Women and Angels in America. Just be aware that Angels in America consists of two separate plays so it would eat up two of your slots.

Lenk has not missed a single performance yet. Enjoy. She and the show are just glorious.
As for other recs, I’d go for Once on This Island, Come From Away, and probably My Fair Lady.

I personally suggest Anastasia (it is AMAZING) and Once on this Island. Depends what kind of theatre you like, though. Maybe see Carousel?

I personally was slightly underwhelmed by Come From Away. Of the 6 shows I saw in November, it was actually my least favorite. Others are big fans though. Different strokes... Also, Carousel is getting mostly poor word-of-mouth on the thread devoted to it. Hopefully, it improves during previews, but it sounds like there is a lot to fix. I’d still say my recommendations are:
- Hello, Dolly!
- My Fair Lady (assuming word-of-mouth is good once it starts previews)
- Once on This Island
- Sweeney Todd
