Easy Rushes

Thanks for all your responses.  I was just hoping there was a current show that usually still has tickets after the first group of people. In years past, I was able to score some rush tickets to shows (that still had their original cast) later on in the morning and a couple mid afternoon.  I have a small list, then I will try Times Square if all else fails.

If you're really interested in CURIOUS INCIDENT - you're much better off getting $27 balcony seats than partial view rush seats.

I rushed a bunch of shows REALLY late this year, like between 1.5h and 10 minutes to curtain. But most of them had already given closing notice (Honeymoon, Heidi Chronicles, Zhivago). I rushed Gigi in early previews like 10 minutes before though and we still got 2 pretty good tickets.

That's why I think It Shoulda Been You should be possible shortly after 10!

Oh, Also, for like 2 dollars more you can just buy a rear mezz seat for "It Shoulda Been You." So it's not like a normal rush seat. It is full view, and it's an awesome seat. I actually just asked the ushers and moved down to a great seat right before the show started. I actually really liked the show, so I'd suggest seeing it.

Airline Highway would also be very likely to still have tickets at 10:15. And I agree with the posters who said It Shoulda Been You probably will.

EDIT: disregard AH, I think that may be student rush

Hi everyone, I am planning on rushing a show either Friday or Saturday (matinee).  However, I will not be able to get to Manhattan til after work tomorrow, possibly after 6 PM, and will not be able to make it at 10 on Saturday either.  So I was wondering if anyone knows if any current shows have relatively easy rushes that I might have a chance to grab tickets to.  Thank you in advance!  :)

I went to the box office for Significant Other just after 5:30pm a couple of weeks ago (3/21) and was able to get a rush ticket. Highly recommend it too --- great show. Good luck!

What do the rush lines look like for Miss Saigon, Significant Other, The Price and Great Comet?

" Yesterday I rushed Miss Saigon about an 1.5 hour before the show. For Significant Other I rushed also about an hour before the show. Hope this helps!

What is rush for Groundhog Day like? Is that fairly easy, even on weekends?

"Thanks! Would rushing those shows when the box office opens almost guarantee me and a friend tickets then? I know Significant Other isn't selling well. Plus Great Comet and others are doing ok..

Klinnerz: yes! If you get there when the box office opens you would get something at Miss Saigon and Significant Other. Now I haven't done The Price or Great Comet but I'm sure they set aside a certain number of tickets too. So you could try those two first and if they run out depending on how many people are already in line you could count that Miss Saigon and Significant Other will have something.

If you are looking at going later in the day, I would check to see how many seats they still have to purchase online. If there's a lot chance are they will release some of those those for cheaper or maybe rush prices.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! That helps a lot. I'm glad those shows will be easier to rush.
