Easy shows to rush?

My friends and I are planning to head in to the city next weekend and I'm just wondering if there are any shows we can easily rush? We aren't planning on seeing any, but if we can snag cheap(er) seats for one might as well do it. I've never rushed before and we obviously don't want to camp out in the early morning and do that whole thing, but if we get in to the city around 10-11 are there any box offices we can just walk up to and get tickets for that night's performance? Also, we are all students, do any theaters give student discounts?

TKTS does discounted seats but they're still around $70 right? I've only seen shows through lottery aside from 2

HEAD OVER HEELS! They just announced their rush policy and it's so easy. Tickets are $35 each. All you have to do is download the app "Todaytix", unlock the rush tickets by posting about it on facebook or twitter, and then get on at 9am and purchase the tickets. So easy and no need to wake up early and wait outside :)

I’ve heard carousel is easy, and I walked up to spongebob and got both $30 and $50 options at around 3 o’clock on a Tuesday. We chose $30 rear mezz and enjoyed the show. Hello Dolly is reportedly pretty decent as well to rush, not sure about on the weekend.

I usually direct people to broadwayforbrokepeople since it gives a comprehensive list of what shows have cheap ticket policies (plenty of rush and lotto options)

The TKTS booth in Times Square is usually crowded, but if you happen to be up by Lincoln center you can check that one. I’ve gotten a couple of $50-$60 tickets there, but they do tend to be closer to the $80+ range

I liked broadwayforbrokepeople too but i feel it's not updated as much at times especially when a show changes the policy after previews.

Iceman Cometh was quite easy. The Donna Summer musical as well. You can go to both at 10am and probably find only 2-3 people in the line.

I am hoping to rush Summer on Sat, but I am going to go to another show first. Do you think if I get there around 10:15 it will be ok. Also does anyone know what time should get there to rush Skintight? Planning to go there first Sat. Thank you!!
