I suppose it is happening right now, but once it is over, can someone give me a synopsis of what she said? I'm not technologically savy and don't know how the hell to get it to work on my computer.

I just listened to it...
Basically...they discussed London and Christine further confirmed that there are no details...its a hope...and they're not sure when or how but they'd like to get it there.
She also elaborated on her feelings about the closing. She remarked that although East of Doheny was the reason the show got to Broadway...they were also the reason the show closed. She blamed mismanagement and lack of experience.
Very well spoken lady.

Posted: 8/23/07 at 5:51pmI was away without internet access and missed this. Now iTunes is saying it's "not available in the US store". Any suggestions on how I can listen to the interview, or is it now too late?

sorry jv92, I tried twice more this evening and all I get is the "this file couldn't be found" pop up window. I had already downloaded it, too! It simply won't play. I even tried to get to the Sleary album listed and nothing.

jaimiecheno-
An example of what I'm looking for...
Did she say specifically say East of Doheny was responsible for the show's demise or was she vauge? And did she clarify the Riedel collumns? What was her mood? Sad? Disapointed?

She was by no means rude or ignorant but she was matter of fact in her statement that East of Doheny was the cause of the closing. She said that it was so ironic that E.o.D. was such a big part of how they got to Broadway but in the end they were what ruined them. She seemed disappointed. She didn't comment on the Riedel columns. I don't believe she was asked about them.
Hope that helps!

Don't forget about her comments to the interviewer about how the producers didn't want to share in the process of the show, and how she felt about people who are so rich they think they can just start doing something just because they want to.
That last statement of hers was indeed rude (and a personal attack), but the rest was said very well and fairly.
The rest was a great interview, lots of insights to her working on the show, and she spoke of her hopes of going to London with the show, but didn't sound too positive about that. It was only about 6 or 9 minutes, and I hope they fix the link so people can hear everything she said again.

^^Sorry! I listened to it the day it was released and I didn't mean to leave anything out, but she did indeed say those things too. I didn't find them so much "rude" as honest. Christine has never had a problem speaking her mind, and you have to respect her for that.

That's ok!
I just want a fair assessment of what she said out here. I love this actress and am pissed we most likely won't get a touring production now...but her tone in remarking about EOD seemed a bit personal to me, and that's a bit unprofessional. Yes, though, you are so right, this is a woman who feels no need to hold back in her opinion!
There's no good vs evil in this story, in my opinion...mistakes and drama happen in every production ever done...and the only losers are us, now that there will most likely be no more show for touring or London.
