Very true.
I prefer head voice to belting anyway
I'm with you guys, but I'm also probably going to me Martha in Secret Garden this summer, and I'll be back in my soprano denial.
i'm sure when you are a professional you won't need to deny anymore
itw, from your lips to God's ears.
ladies, can I join this girl talk??
it's a Soprano Slumber Party!
Sure, bring some popcorn, and I'll give you a manny peddy!
there you are, my dear!!
now let's do this...
Welcome to the SID party! But we might have to change the name of the group for PC reasons. We can eat Twizzlers and watch Candide.

"Eden sucks, Vincent.
Just accept it darling"
Great argument, you should try law.
Look, I never said Eden was God's gift; I'm not even debating the point of this thread. I just feel that she gets a lot of flack on this board, while there are many performers who aren't always 100%. That's all...
You guys are so fast to criticize. She has only done Brooklyn, Wicked & Rent. Only.
Have any of you been in those shows?

Well put...
I'd give a nut (yes, literally, a nut...i don't want kids) to be in ONE of those shows...well, not "Brooklyn," but, you know what I mean.

From what I've seen of Eden, as somebody said, she has her off and on performances. When she is on though, she is ON.
I like to say that she has an Eddie Bauer voice--virtually indestructible. Have you heard what she sounded like in the last performance of Brooklyn (Once Upon A Time)? Absolutely AWFUL! Sounded like she had lost her voice completely--but she came back to Wicked later, and sounded AMAZING.
She's like a female Steven Tyler.
HA!!! You guys are calling your group SID, and that reminds me of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
haha the name can be in the works...we will come up with something good though
and yeah, its sad that we are sitting her saying "she sucks, she's only been in RENT, WIcked and Brooklyn" when in reality those are huge accomplishments. lets just all agree that although some of us don't like Eden, she HAS had a pretty stellar career

Yeah... I'll try to think of some names that don't coincide with a medical syndrome.
LOL! And yes, I will agree that although I don't care for her she has landed some good roles.
And I'm not saying I don't like SID for your group name... I love it, the fact that it reminded me of SIDS made me crack up, but if you want to change it be my guest.
I'm not saying she hasn't landed good roles, darling.
I'm just saying... BKLYN, WICKED, RENT. there is a pattern. just try to find it.
I'm rather indifferent when it comes to Eden. Even when she is "on", I find her voice to be extremely screamy and nasal.
She's got more forward placement than Amy Spanger! imagine that. yeesh.
Can I join the club? I'm not a Soprano, I'm a Tenor, and that is the male equivalent of a Soprano, is it not?
Lake. You can join the group. It WAS **Girls Only** but I guess you could be a wannabe Soprano.
Looks like I have to form my own He-Man Woman Haters Club.

Haha, Amy Spanger does have really forward placement.
Like I said, Eden screams a lot to me. Of course, I feel that way about a lot of singers that people like.
I'm OBSESSED with Amy Spanger's ridiculous forward placement, Spork.
It is totally not healthy.

I dislike that everything Eden does is a huge belting role. One day when her voice just can't make it there anymore, I'll be laughing.
