She was great when I saw her..... made me like the show again.
I think im going to go hide before people start responding to this thread.
And shes doing very well, shes only been in for a month.
voztimbrada, idina left like a year ago and shoshana bean was in it. if you were being sarcastic, sorry it's hard to tell the tone when you're reading a typed message. oh well. lol.
I'm not a huge fan of Wicked, but I saw it with Eden Espinosa. And she was great. Really wonderful. Her voice is powerful, but controlled. I thought she did a great job.

I really loved her performance. Very powerful voice. She has wonderful facial expressions and manerisms.
I enjoyed watching her as Elphaba.
I wasn't too big of a fan of hers.
People are pleased with her Elphaba. She rocked the house when I saw her.
I'm glad people are pleased. I'm saying I wasn't.
I think she plays the role just fine. My one issue being I felt it was bland, and safe. I know others absolutely adore her, and to each their own. Just not my cup of tea.
I saw a video of her singing The Wizard and I in the Sephora in San Francisco. Some glass broke. You could hear the glass breaking. Not to say that she's awful. Just not my favorite. Out of the 3 Elphabas I've seen, she has been my least favorite.
I am pleased with Eden, just not pleased with another thread talking about the same subject. And yes i am not reading this thread anymore!
Overthemoon- Hehe I don't know if that was sarcasm or not, but somebody dropped something, hence the broken glass.
overthemoon6, but did you actually SEE her in the role?

I think Eden does an amazing job as Elphaba. Her voice and acting are really incredible.
OMG, i saw the show last week, and eden can belt her face off!!! saw shosh a few months ago, and think eden was so much more solid. her acting was surprisingly filled and man, does her voice just go on and on forever??? what a range!!! her low notes are just as strong as her high notes!! well done eden.
btw.. saw her on a monday.. and she was still green?? what's that about??

I saw her about two weeks ago and she was spectacular. I thought she was even better than when I saw her in SF at the end of the tours run there. Her Defying Gravity gave me chills. Loved her.
btw.. saw her on a monday.. and she was still green?? what's that about??
What do you mean?

Well, I am assuming that aprinceforwhatever saw her on Monday (a no show day) somewhere and she was green, Maybe she was going to film something or appear somewhere and perform?
Or maybe she stays in character even when she doesn't perform...
