hey everyone
I searched and didn't see this posted anywhere since it had been announced, but for anyone interested, there are plenty of videos now on youtube showcasing Disneyland's new fireworks show called "Magical," in which Eden Espinosa is feautured throughout the show (and might I saw the music is just awesome!. so for anyone interested I would really recommend you listen to it - she does an awesome job - particularly with the theme "magical" and the song from Dumbo "baby mine"

ps - on a technical standpoint, the video above is not the "finished" version of the show, as it was the first preview performance. things have changed since that video but the audio quality is one of the best on youtube.

Where does she start singing. I don't feel like watching a 14 minute video, and I keep skipping around but all I hear is the pretty orchestra. No Eden.

She sings starting at about 0:40 for a couple minutes (she really comes in more at 2:12), then again at about 5:00, then 7:30-8:55, then about 9:15-9:30, and then about 12:15 through the finale.
She also sings "A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes" after the show, but that is not in this video.

She sounds gorgeous.
As a frequent visitor to Walt Disney World, I get incredibly disappointed that they're treated like the ugly stepchild, while Disneyland always gets new, good stuff. Since Wishes has premiered at WDW, Disneyland has now had TWO new fireworks shows. This one, and the previous one (Remember....Dreams Come True, narrated by Julie Andrews). They also always get new parades, while we get new audio tracks slipped in to the existing parade. At least WDW is the only place that has Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. But I digress...Eden sounds great, and I like forward to seeing this when I make my first Disneyland trip in years this September for D23.

That not true Disneyland has been having the same parade for years and they finally changed it but its not a parade its a dance celebration, which in my opinion it sucks they dance to Disney music but they play a song from Hairspray.I think it was "You Can't Stop The Beat".
They only changed the parade during Christmas which is always the same.
They had Eden Espinosa go to Disneyland on the opening day of the new fireworks. She used to work there.
If you looked at what I wrote, you'll see I was talking about fireworks, not the parade. WDW also gets a special parade at Christmas, but it's only done during the Very Merry Christmas Party.
I'm also aware that Eden used to work at Disneyland. She also provided the vocals for the now defunct evening show at California Adventure, Iluminaria.
I was there opening night and I even saw Eden a couple times on my trip. She sounded amazing and the new fireworks are really nice. It's great that she gets to return to the place where she started. I love it!

Is the "Wishes" you're talking about the same "Wishes" that was at the Paris Disney World about 3-4 yrs ago?
I'm not sure about that, Dolly. The Wishes at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World opened on October 9, 2005. Here's a video of it, so you can tell me if it's the same one. The big surprise in Wishes is Tinkerbell's flight, which happens about 2 minutes in.

Why do people always say, "You joined just to post this?"
a) Obviously they did, so the question is pointless.
b)It is important to them, so if it's not to you, move on, there are posts on 100s of other topics.
c)Every person has to have a "first post" some are amazingly well thought out and interesting, and others aren't. It's the start of their entry onto these great boards of Broadway fun...
She sounds gorgeous. I loved "Baby Mine" as well as the finale.
Fireworks shows have preview periods? When is opening night?
Of course they do. They're incredibly technically complex, especially a show of this magnitude, with the combination of lights, music, pyrotechnics, and a live performer with an incredibly intricate flying routine. They already "opened" as it were, but during the "preview" period, they were tinkering with the show so the fireworks better matched up with the score.
I know, I just find it funny to attach "first preview" to a firework show. It's like having a first preview for the new Chuck-E-Cheez show.

BobbyBubby, Disney and fireworks are in a totally different league than Chuck-E-Cheez, completely different. Fireworks have to be adjusted and changed also so that it can be the best possible show. Just because it isn't Broadway or theatre doesn't mean it can't have previews, they're just as important to fireworks shows.

I just wanted to offer a correction regarding a previous post. Wishes premiered at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park on October 9, 2003, not 2005.
Disneyland takes great pride in getting their firework shows right.
