I saw Stephanie go on as Elphaba in Toronto and she was incredible! Her No Good Deed blew every other version I've ever heard out of the water.

I've been one of Stephanie's biggest critics regarding her missed performances but I really hate that those bootleg Wicked clips of her as Elphaba are floating around because it's painfully obvious they aren't from a full performance of Wicked. It sounds like a dress rehearsal and it's not fair that her performance is now being judged by these clips.

Guys. I asked Eden at the stage door on Wedsday if she would be returning to Wicked, and she said "No.".

the clips that are floating around are not very good. but if you heard the clips of her singing on that news interview in chicago, you can tell shes got a great voice.

I have a full audio show of Steph in Wicked and i can honestly say she is amazing! her voice is soooooooo powerful. those clips floating around were from one of her very first practices. she has much improved. i also have a full show with kristy from when she was in toronto. i can also say she has greatly improved (and may i add, made the end of defying gravity wonderful!). so all the elphabas are in great shape!

Derek, thanks for confirming. It's so unfair that people are knocking Stephanie's performance when it was clear by tapes it was a rehearsal. It should be clear to anyone who listens to those tapes because there's only about 20 people clapping. LOL

I know what audio clips you're referring to, and these were not those ones. This was from an actual performance with a full paying audience. Even then, I though she sounded quite bad.

heard from a very good source... that this is 100% true! stephanie needs to take time off to heal and get better and i guess they made eden an offer she couldn't refuse.

well eden was asked at the brooklyn stage door and she said no, so it isnt' true if the performer doesn't even know about it, now is it!

Calm down belter. She may be saying "No" around fans because she may not be sure whether or not the deal is sealed. If she is doing it, they'll be an official press release. Until then, it's still considered up in the air.

Unless something miraculously changes, today at the stagedoor Eden did in fact say she WOULD be doing the San Fran tour.

Exciting stuff. I don't know how I think of her as Elphaba since I'm so used to her voice as Brooklyn. It will probably be really good anyways.

I'm back from the closing night party. I'll post my review on the Brooklyn board cause I don't have time for all of your bashing. So I did ask Eden about this. She gave me a final answer. I can't tell you what it is, but I will tell you that I just bought me some WICKED tickets for the San Fran run.
