Posted: 8/26/13 at 10:17amFor as long as I have been here I haven't been able to edit or delete any of my post. I don't see the buttons anywhere. Does anyone know how I can get them. I appreciate any information.

It's there. It's not a button, but a link. It's at the bottom of your post. (See screenshot.)

Posted: 8/26/13 at 10:42amI eventually gave up and made this account after having informed people in power that I'd lost the "edit" ability, and nothing got done even when I tried what I was told. (Although, as my profile page alludes to, I had other reasons for making this account as well.)

That's definitely a glitch, if you can't edit your posts.

theaterfan862, I would suggest letting Rob know. I'm sure he can fix it for you.
I can't imagine not being able to edit my posts.

Posted: 8/26/13 at 11:12amI too edit my posts constantly, preferring that option than the "Preview" option. It sounds like a fixable bug though.

I have this same probably for the past 4 or 5 years and I've contacted Rob and gotten nothing. It may be time to send him another PM about it as it's been a while.
My brain thinks faster than my fingers and not being able to edit my posts has been a huge contributor to why I don't post as often anymore.

Sounds like your account has a big glitch with the writing/editing privileges. And the "error" may mean it's actually corrupted.
Before you do like so many others and just start a new account (so we can all chastise you for being a sock puppet using another name), I will contact Rob via PM on your behalf and see if they can't do something to reset it.
I'll let you know if I hear anything back.

Posted: 8/26/13 at 11:44amThis issue has (thus far) only occurred when someone manages to have 2 accounts under the same email address and we can fix it by killing one of the two accounts. If it's happening to you, definitely PM or email me and we'll get you cleaned up.

Posted: 8/26/13 at 12:20pmI have the edit feature, but I noticed that if I do edit my post, the time stamp reverts back to the time on my original post. Not a huge issue, just an FYI.

I'm pretty sure it does that for everybody.
I've never seen an edited post with a different time stamp. It always reflects the time of the original post.
