Is Elf the Musical going to be an annual Broadway show? It seems weird that a show(a christmas show at that) that is not a revival would have a set closing date.

The producers are planning to bring it back next season. This is a Christmas musical so it is a limited engagement. They would not keep a Christmas musical on Broadway year round.

How many people want to see a christmas show in February. or in August? Makes perfect sense.

As the above poster mentioned: it is planned to return next year, possibly with a recording.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

this is great news for me! I won't be able to catch it this season, but would love to see it next season. Thanks for the info on this and the cast recording =)
