Isn't Shindle a little waspy for Fanny Brice? Wonderful voice, yes, but I don't see her as a Jewish girl from the Lower East Side - more like an equestrian from Fairfield or Darien.
I say go with an unknown, personally. There's probably a girl at Michigan or Carnegie Mellon right now who'll be ripe for the role by the time the show's casting.
Anyone but Michele, though. Anyone.
Shindle and Block (shudder) are 5000000% WRONG for the role. Get a clue.
I like Drunk Chita's idea of Christopher Fitzgerald in ELF. It would be great to see either him or Norbert Leo Butz in the role (didn't Norbert do the reading?)
As far as ANNIE goes, I really like the ideas of Allison Janney and Jan Maxwell. But we'll see what's going on in 2012; a lot's bound to change in the next two years.
Personally, I'd love to see Johnny Tartaglia as Buddy in Elf.
LMAO!!! I love that ticket....and those prices...WHOA!
drunk chita rivera i think that Christopher Fitzgerald is too short for buddy but he would make a good one!
and dahaha for alison janney in annie
i agree with danny tartaglia as buddy but i accually see chris fitz as the elf father not the human but the elf father because he's short and has the look.
Howie Mandel- Daddy Warbucks (daha lol)

I love both Jan Maxwell and Allison Janney, in general, AND as legit casting suggestions for Miss Hannigan.
And I think Kudisch could play Rooster, easy, although I feel like it's too small of a role for him?
But I guess I do have a slight bias on this: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Cast-Allison-Janney-as-Miss-Hannigan-Annie-revival-2012/129985367019437?ref=ts

As much as I don't care for the idea of an Annie revival, I do like the idea of Kelsey Grammer as Daddy Warbucks.
Lea Michele would be "nightmare", not dream casting for "Funny Girl". Wouldn't you rather have someone who can act and sing? Michele has proven on "Glee" and especially the Tonys that she can do neither. Adam Lambert would be more believable as Fanny Brice than Lea Michele; at least he sings better.
Seriously though, I think Matthew Morrison would be great as Nicky Arnstein and I would cast Tammy Blanchard, a superb singer and actress, as Fanny Brice, although at 33 she might be considered too old for the role.
Talia Triangolo would make a wonderful Fanny in Funny Girl. She has several videos on youtube. Graduates next year from Rhode Island College and has a very impressive resume for someone of her age.
