Emma Stone Waitress?

I know that this will never happen but I can't help but see Emma Stone as a fantastic Jenna, if the musical were to ever be adapted into a film. 

 

While her voice isn't the greatest I think she's got or can play the grit needed for Jenna. What do you think?

1. It was a movie first before it was a musical. Highly doubt they'd adapt it back into a movie musical. 

2. And as much as I love Emma Stone and think she was great in Cabaret, I'd have to say no.

To be fair, they've done this with a few shows, like Hairspray and Little Shop. (Though I agree that I don't expect it with Waitress.)

Hey, to be fair, EMMY Rossum's acting and singing have improved immensely over the years.

Part of the reason she was a fabulous Sally is because she can’t really sing amazingly. It worked for the character. For Jenna, it does not.

Hope to get her back on Broadway somehow though.

I actually think P!nk would be a fantastic Jenna. She has the down to earth, been through a lot appeal and I can hear her raspy voice exploding on She Used To Be Mine and also singing the other songs well.

She said somewhere that she’s not interested in replacing. I can’t remember where. Doesn’t mean she won’t though. Rent is rent and a job is job.

Eh, I don’t fully see it, even though it almost happened. Don’t know why it didn’t pan out, but my biggest problem with her in Bandstand is that she doesn’t play a grounded, gritty woman very well. She’s too polished.
