So in the coming months we have the following theatres all being empty without a replacement show having been announced:
Circle in the Square
Broadhurst
Cort
Imperial
Music Box
Nederlander
The 39 Steps, Macbeth, August: Osage County, [title of show] and Next to Normal are all rumored to be looking for transfers. What do you guys think will happen with these theatres?

I think we can discuss this forever and ever but...
Didn't the Post suggest August could potentially move into the Music Box?
I'd throw the Nederlander out of the mix for now... that theatre isn't going to be free for a while... after Rent closes it needs a lot of work done before anything can go in there.
I'd also through [tos] out too... despite what everyone wishes.
The revival of Godspell is also looking for a home.
Billy Elliot is going into the Imperial which is why August:OC is moving out, so that's not really a vacant theater either.
The Post insinuated an August transfer to the Music Box was definitely happening in April, which makes perfect sense.
I thought I read somewhere that Godspell wanted the Broadhurst later this summer.
Does any one know what theater Godspell is moving into?
Thoughts:
Circle in the Square-13 or title of show?
Broadhurst-Maybe that revival of DANCIN'? Or 9 TO 5?
Nederlander-Maybe GODSPELL?
Also, the Imperial will house BILLY ELLIOTT this September.
But Billy Elliot is coming to Broadway in the fall... Why would August need to move theatres so quickly?
The set is going to take a while to set up.
All I know that Godspell is moving into a Schubert Theater.

Of that list: Broadhurst, Cort, Music Box are all Shubert Houses and possible homes for GODSPELL... I think Music Box would be the best choice for that. AUGUST could probably sustain in a larger house (like the Broadhurst).
What about the Barrymore (also a Shubert house)? How long is NOVEMBER running?
Very intererested to know what would happen to the Nederlander. Hope it doesn't become a parking lot -- or another NY TIMES building.
I assume the Neder will get its renovation!

It hasn't been announce, but the Broadhurst has a tenant booked for the fall. Don't know if there will be a show in between. But the next known show is a play...an import to be exact.
Have it on good authority Next to Normal will be moving into Circle in the Square
Fosse, what's coming to the Broadhurst??? Spill it!
isn't it equus for the broadhurst
Equus is going into the Broadhurst I thought.

Isn't the Broadway going to be dark for a long time until SHREK opens in the winter? It seems so sad to have such a big theatre sitting dark for so long.
