Please tell me Rosewater could get recorded. As a teen I wore out cassettes of the demo and a live and regional cast one and can still sing a lot of the score by memory. Way back there was talk of wanting to do a studio cast album so it seems a good opportunity if they want to raise any general awareness of the show (I guess some community theatres do do it, judging by some not very good YouTube clips)

EricMontreal22, as with any production, if someone will pay for the recording, there's always a chance. New Brain was recorded because somebody put up the money.

Right. I wonder what if Menken and crew would. If I recall correctly when there was talk of a studio recording 15 or so years back it was going to partly be funded by him and some people connected to Ashman who hoped it would make people more aware of the show

I'm selling one ticket to Kurt Vonnegut’s God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater on Saturday July 30, 8pm (closing night). First row center orchestra, $25. Anyone interested?

I saw it. I was bored out of my mind, even though back then I was just a couple of years older than the cast members.
But I've never liked Swados' music. Others swear by her and I'm sure that makes a big difference.

I just watched Pitch Perfect in order to see Ben Platt, and I ended up liking both him and Skylar Astin a lot. So I'm glad to be seeing Astin in God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater.

Can someone please PM me the P2P code? I joined the program today, and would like to purchase a ticket for ROSEWATER, but I'm not sure they are going to get around to sending me the code.
Thanks!

You don't need the code anymore. There are $25 tickets available without it. The code was for the presale.

So was anyone at the dress tonight? It was fun to see so many original Runaways cast members in the audience.

I was there. Yes, it was nice to see them. I was totally unfamiliar going in, but they did make note that this is a new version of the show - it is trimmed to 90 minutes on the dot. The show is greater than the sum of its parts but there are some genuinely moving and wrenching songs and monologues and much of this cast turns in great work. I need to read and ruminate before commenting further - a lot for me to process, and would refrain regardless as tonight was the invited dress and not a paid performance.

I agree. It is unfair to criticize a dress rehearsal. I think after tonight the cast will continue to connect with and embrace the audience. It is the kind of show that is meant for a small dilapidated East Village theatre. So in presenting it at City Center it becomes more of a concert version than an experience. And given that some of the talent is raw (which kind of works) some are working in broad strokes to either fill the space or find their characters.

I guess it is not selling very well. Someone said Sarah Jessica Parker was there tonight as well as Mario Cantone.

Would like to know this too. Only info right now is Foster, Groff and Tesori. And the running time is 2 hours with one intermission. No news on special guests. But if Ellen Greene shows up, expect me to let out a squeal.

Singer Shaina Taub will be at the Jamboree according to a tweet from Jeanine Tesori. That's the only other person I've heard besides Foster, Groff, and Tesori.
