What makes FANNY long and boring are the two ballets -the "Cal of the Sea" in Act I and the Circus ballet in Act II. Most contemporary productions cut these entirely. They add nothing and bring the story to a screeching halt. Unfortunately, ENCORES insisnts on presenting the entire score, so they will be included.

Will they include THERE WON'T BE TRUMPETS and THERE'S ALWAYS A WOMAN in Whistle? Encores! usually only uses the original score of the original production. But I really hope those two numbers are added.

I could care less about "There's Always a Woman", but I certainly hope "There Won't be Trumpets" is included. It's in the (now very out of print) published script.

I highly doubt they'll include "There's Always a Woman" (though I really wish they did) but "There Won't Be Trumpets" is a more likely possibility.

"There's Always a Woman" dances uncomfortably close to the line of being downright misogynistic.

"Girl Crazy" has of course one of the greatest scores ever written, but also one of the worst books. It'll be interesting to see if they can put together a cast strong enough to salvage it. It's one of those shows that relies almost entirely on the performers.
