"From July 18-23, the Mark Schoenfeld-Barri McPherson musical will be presented by Theatre Under The Stars as the annual free show at the Miller Outdoor Theatre. The musical will play nightly at 8:15 PM."

Theatre Under The Stars in Houston does this every year at that outdoor theatre. The bring in or produce a musical free. Every year. Calm down.

Theatre Under the Stars is a non-profit organization that receives special funding for their outdoor performances, so they don't have to rely on ticket sales while providing free theatre performances for the general public. Sometimes they are in-house productions and sometimes they contract a tour. It's a boost for the tour as they will receive a guaranteed fee rather than having to rely on subscriptions and individual ticket sales.

Posted: 6/12/06 at 5:13pmBased on what Mister Matt posted, it sounds like a win-win situation all around. I wish I lived near Houston. I'd love to see this show -not so much because I want to see Brooklyn but I want to see what Diana DeGarmo can do with the role.

Posted: 6/12/06 at 5:18pmYeah, they do this every year, but since we're season ticket holders, we always get something in the mail about donating money to TUTS to help pay for the show they do for free each year. We got one asking for money for Brooklyn today.

well the show with diana is supposed to be amazing
i have heard amazing things , and she sounds awseom
so does lonna ,she is the understudy for bklyn and faith and she is fantastic
