The thing is, they are going to use big names. There is no if/maybes there. And it's a limited engament. It's going to be a limited engament, star-studded cast. It wouldn't surprise me if there were some BIG celebrities cast. I don't know, but my personal hunch is that Eden will play Eponine. I know she isn't that big of a name, but it's just my feeling.

erm....Lizzie, are you talking about Elena...she never understudied Fantine.I believe she was the Cossette u/s for a time in the early 00's while still in college.

Eden's dream role is Eponine. I think she'd be amazing in the role.

I second Eden! I think she would be great and it's not a role that's in the stratosphere. She can avoid what some people call her "screeching". I think her voice is stellar.

OK, we know that's the biggest lie ever, but....

Have you ever heard BSM play Sweeney? I feel that he would do the same ANNOYING thing with Valjean. He is great, but shouldn't play older.

For me it is not that much of a streach for the actress playing Eponine to be thirty, because of the way she is described in the book, and it turns out the last Eponine I saw (Ma-Anne Dionisio) was about thirty when I saw her in Jan 2004. Ma-Anne did look youthful. She may be too old for the role now, but she might be fine for the Hype park concert, if that is true. Cosette does need to look young and pretty, so thirty years old would probably not do.

For the revival, I have heard mostly good things about Marissa McGowan(the current U.S. tour understudy), like I remember a review that compared her to Ma-Anne, though Ma-Anne might still be the stronger singer and actress. I am hoping she is on the next time I see the show. If Marissa can improve she might be a great choice for the revival.

For someone new to the role, I am thinking of Lalaine(though she has played young Eponine. I don't think she would be one to play Eponine really sweet, and she would be a good age to play Eponine, she will be nineteen by the time the show opens.

Those are my thoughts on this.

I would like Eden as Eponine.

And to verify, yes Elena was u/s for Cosette in the broadway cast.

I just would love to see Marin as Fantine!!!!

Eponine is my favorite character (along with Enjolras) and now knowing that Diana Kaarina is going to be a mother and Lea just had a baby, let's see someone new in the role.

I met Craig Schulman a couple of weeks ago, and he said he was on his way to talk with them about being Valjean *crosses fingers*
