Yes I completely agree. Aside from her booked taping schedule, and if she had the time I think Toni Collette would be an amazing, inspired choice as Diana. The role needs someone with strong if not amazing acting skills and she has it. While I love Julia Murney, I don't think she has the acting chops to pull it off and well Jessica Phillips just seems too clean cut for me.

I mean no matter what I will always adore her for everything she has brought to the stage. I still remember one night when she was debuting her new album "Everything's Fine" at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles. We arrived early hoping to score a good seat and the guy took our tickets and let us into the venue. Actually no. I hate to disappont you but that was not me that posted on ATC. I don't hang out much there, but thanks for letting me know of the similar posting. I hate to think about any of those things and her voice. But notes that were once easy for her, are no longer. True she can act and sing the hell out of songs with what she has, but its hard to deny that you can't hear the detereoration in her voice. And that's unfortunate.

Okay so I am a huge huge fan of hers. I have seen her live several times and obviously own all her recordings. The thing I want to bring up is this: what happened to that glorious voice that was heard in Sideshow and such. Listening to her in N2N I love her but it's obvious her voice isn't there anymore. Was it the 8 shows a week? Was it her rock band? What happened?

Do you know if the rights are out to the John Doyle version of Sondheim's Company? Or was it show specific that they decided to re-write the parts just for that particular show? I'm just saying because theoretically you can perform any musical actor/musician. But are the parts that were written by Mary Mitchell Campbell available to license?

I would probably have to say that the Leslie Kritzer is Patti Lupone in Gypsy would be the most ideal and the most brilliant casting ever. Either that or after Cher finishes her run in Las Vegas she can come make her way to New York and play Mama Rose. Only this time in every scene she'll have a wig change.

I am seriously going to go and revisit my Golden Girls DVD collection. It's going to be so sad for me to know that Sophia is finally with her Sal and she's no longer with us. There's enough of them to leave your wisecrack remark about kidney stones. You know you've pissed Estelle off and now she's giving you the "eye". I'm not saying that she hasn't, she probably has. It would be interesting to see her take on the role although I'm sure she's already filled to the rim with the stuff she has to sing in "Heights". I noticed in the program that Janet Decal is u/s for Nina. Does she have the vocal range for the role? I think I had heard that Krysta went on a couple of times. Just an observation. Don't eat me.

Yeah I guess that would be it, but I find it odd that she would pass up the chance to originate another role in a show rather than re-create a role that's been recycled over and over? I mean that's under the assumption that she was even offered to continue with the show Off-Broadway and beyond. And why is it you think that Mandy Gonzalez hasn't been approached to play Elphaba yet?

After reading the interview with Karen Olivo on Playbill.com, she had stated that her good friend "Eden Espinosa" was in the first couple of readings for In The Heights as Nina. I remember thinking to myself the other day when I was listening to the recording how I thought Eden could have possibly played the role, it was interesting to see that she did at least early on. Does anyone know why she didn't continue with the project?
