Hello everybody! I am very confused about the entire process about obtaining an equity card, what exactly it is used for, and how to keep one once you have one. Can someone people eco in everything to me? Thank you! :)

From someone who doesn't have an equity card. It's a card that verifies you apart of AEA and are unionized. You can get one through auditioning and obtaining roles in an equity production. 

Its not really something you can get off the street.

In regards to how to keep it...how long are you willing to go without acting work? You can only lose it by not paying your dues, but actors drop out all the time because of how limiting it is.
