I saw Equus this afternoon and was absolutely blown away. The whole cast hit it out of the ballpark... but the really outrageous thing was the short auction that the cast held after the curtain call. They were auctioning off the jeans worn by Daniel. The winning bid was $950. I'm happy this much is being donated from one person to BCEFA, but daaaaammmnnnn!
like, did he just take them off then and there?

He had a different pair on for the curtain call than he did for the rest of the show. The pants he wore in the show were still lying on the stage and he picked them up and started the auction!
Well, doing the math,
a $10 pair of black jeans
brings in a thou a nite for
BCEFA
They are sure to win
most collected for
a Play
Go Daniel's pants!

Could they pay my rent instead?
Coming from a "RentBoy"
That's amusing.
BCEFA was giving a special award for creative fund raising.
I think this is a candidate.
Who else's pants would you bid on?
They had a few articles about this, supposable this will happen a few more times.

I think it would be more interesting if they auctioned the horse heads.

Two guys kept competing for top bid while the rest of the audience watched and gasped! They got up to around 750, and the one guy said he'd bid more if Daniel would sign them, then the two men continued to outbid eachother until the one guy won with $950. Daniel was hilarious during the auction. At one point he said "Didn't you see the end of Act 1... You might get some DNA on these!" He was getting very into the auction!
Who want's Horse head?
Those are expensive.
yeah no kidding! lol no one wants those
but if they want ultra money auction his jeans and underwear... thats like a ton of money right there!
According to the poll on the right, it will happen again on the 29th and Dec. 6th. And surprisingly, 11% of voters think it's "way inappropriate".
Who said anything about underwear?

Sounds like the same kind of crowd that was there the night they auctioned off the My Little Pony for about $900. There were so many people bidding on that, they could have sold off several of them and made a fortune.

I saw Equus at the matinee performance on Nov 8th, and they auctioned off an Equus t-shirt that Daniel Radcliffe wore out post-curtain call. It went for $1600! He was great during that auction, too, rubbing his sweat into it and asking for "one million dollars!"
That's incredible.
What a great way to make money for a terrific, worthy cause.
Are any women actually voting on Daniel's clothing?
At least Daniel's accepted his core audience, and willing to give his sweat to them for a good cause.

Well, the day I saw it with the $1600 t-shirt, it was two men fighting for the top bid as well...
Haha. That's awesome.
My friend went about a week and a half ago and apparently Daniel had auctioned off his Equus script complete with all the notes he made during rehearsals and everything. I think it sold for around like $800 or $900 he said.
It's really great how Daniel is thinking of unique ways to raise money. He knows his success and is using it for a good cause instead of the endless amount of child stars who throw it away on the party scene or something.

I agree. He seems to have a really good head on his shoulders and a real sense of maturity that you don't often see in ANY nineteen year old boys, much less ones that are worth even half as much as he is... Actually, I think all the kids from the Harry Potter films seem to be more mature than your average child stars, so whoever has been helping them through this last decade or so must really have their best interests at heart. They're all ridiculously famous with ridiculous amounts of money, but you never really hear about any of them getting into any of the trouble that seems to follow the Disney crew around here...
At Hairspray on Friday night, Harvey auctioned off a pair of Hairspray flannel pj's and a visit to his dressing room for $750...

My friend was standing right next to one of the men who won was in the battle for his pants. Too funny!
