1. Are there any discounts? I Cant find anything on playbill nor broadwaybox...
2. Is everyone paying the $121.00 seats?
3. The $61.00 MEZZ Row J .. Is that any good? I have never sat on the MEZZ of Broadhurst, but its seems a small intimate house, so the REAR MEZZ might not be a bad idea? I should just bring binocular...
4. This is not gonna be on TDF for sure? so I SHOULD just buy my tix now? not TKTS. Were talking about Harry Potter, so I guess FULL PRICE, NO DISCOUNT..
Okay, before I pay FULL PRICE..I just wanna confirm if I am on the right page with everyone? Thanks for any inputs!

Posted: 7/14/08 at 9:15pmI doubt that there is going to be a need for them to be doing discounting. I haven't sat that far up in the Broadhurst, but I remember reading complaints about the leg room in the mezzanine. I would just go ahead and buy your tickets now.

Posted: 7/14/08 at 9:17pmYou better buy your tickets AND bring your binoculars or you'll miss seeing his Hairy Potter and you'll regret it the rest of your life!

The thing is we are always TWO, so $61.00 = $122.00- almost a full price for the most expensive seats...
I looked at telecharge.. these last seats are only $ 61.00.. Should I just BITE the bullet on this one? It seems like I NEVER learned my lessons from YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN & THE LITTLE MERMAID!

I sat there for Les Miz and Into the Woods. Fine seats, very good view.
I also stood through 700 Sundays and that was a better option.

Posted: 7/14/08 at 9:22pmJay. EQUUS will most likely not have any discounts for the entire run. I am going to the first preview on 9/5 and I am sitting in the $61 seats. They will be absolutely fine...I sat there for Lennon, Les Mis, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and I saw everything just fine. Just bring binoculars if you really want to see everything. $122 per ticket is a complete waste of your hard earned money, in my opinion.

Hey Jay! We certainly are going to miss you at the last PS show!
Anyway, regarding the BROADHURST. The mezz is actually very good, because it's not that high (however, it's not really a small, small house either). The mezz is only A-L - 11 rows. If they offer "sides" 1-27, or 2-28, I would try to get something no further than #9, or 10. That's 5 seats in on the side aisles. #11-28 are going to be way right or left. Not ridiculously bad, but we don't know if the set design is "open" or not. Try to get center 101-114.

Thank you guys! Has anyone know if there are GOING to be onstage seats (like the one in London Production, if I am right?) How come NO ONE has talk about this?
Yeah. I might just get the $61.00 and bring my binoculars? My other "tenny-tiny" problem is THERE IS NO MATINEES on Sunday during previews (I love to see shows on previews) which means I might end-up seeing a Saturday 2 pm show, and Harry Potter might not come out of the stage door- 85% most likely! I am sure of that! Besides, that's is GOING TO be a disaster!
I dont like to see shows at night (even if I stayed at my sisters in Queens, too late for me! ) and I dont like to see it AFTER the reviews neither! I guess.. I just have to SETTLE for a Saturday matinees before 9/25, without seeing Daniel Radcliffe in person! besides the stage door is GONNA BE A MESS!

Jay,pls understand that security over there is gonna be extremely tight, Also, many actors do not leave their theaters between shows on matinee days. Anyway, good luck!!
We need your 10/10!
Not sure about the onstage seats, however, I saw this play in 1976 with my school crew, and we sat onstage, and it (the seats) were TERRIBLE!

Posted: 7/14/08 at 9:50pmI saw the London production and the stage seats did not look good at all. There's a semi-circular wall at the back of the stage and the stage seats are on top of this, literally 15 feet in the air. So you'd be looking down at the back of the actors' heads.

Thank you, tiny for your useful advice!
I just bought my ticket for Equus (Rear Mezz Row J -seat 2 on aisle- yahoo! I love aisle seat) on Saturday Matinee! I really dont care if I DONT met Daniel Radcliff in person(stage door) ..most likely NOT on a Saturday matinee, yeah besides, I dont think I will be able to handle the crowds on that! lol!
Sorry that I will be missing you guys on the last day of PASSING STRANGE! At least I saw the show twice and I would definitely record it and watch it as often as I can.
BTW- I have not forgotten your TONY AWARDS- I will tape it for you, one of these days, before the summer is over! lol! (just busy!) Hope to see you soon at SPEED THE PLOW!
Edit: To Everyone- Thank you again! I am all set now!

Even if he did come out, sitting in the rear mezz, there's not a chance you'd get outside quickly enough (unless you left during the bows) to get to the barricade quickly enough to be right up against it where you could "meet" Daniel Radcliffe.
I assume they're going to do what they did with Julia Roberts and shut down the street after shows when he comes out.
Tickets will probably be very hard to come by, especially if the reviews are good, as they were in London. I've got tickets for the 16th..I'll be downstairs in Row A (yes, this is one of the two shows I'll pay full price for next year).
