Good for him, going the way of the Waterston.
Hopefully, he will get to do at least a few more guest spots on Hannibal, as well. I don't think we've seen the last of Dr. Chilton.
I guess it's good that I've now given myself an unhealthy obsession with this show.
I mean, congrats to Raul. :)
When did he join Hannibal? I only watched the first couple of episodes. I watched them while I was at work, so they were more for background noise than anything else. I didn't get hooked as much as I did with the Kevin Bacon show.
Now that I know Esparza joined Hannibal, I'll give it another shot.
I really enjoy him on SVU. He needs to keep the beard.
I'm now adding another show to watch! I'm so happy for him!
Oh, I love Hannibal. He was in episodes 6 and 11. The episodes dealt with Dr. Gideon, an inmate/patient at his asylum, played by Eddie Izzard.

I wish I could say I snapped it after a wonderful night of love making. But there would be no clothes and his hair would be a lot more disheveled.
Yes, right after I got through with him!

He will have to "commute" between series, since his character on HANNIBAL, Dr. Chilton, will be very involved early on. (I am avoiding a reference to the finale of season 1 in case anyone hasn't seen it yet.)
SPOILER
You mean he lived through that?

SPOILER ANSWER
If they are being true to the plot lines in the books, Chilton has to survive for three more seasons to play the role he played in putting Starling together with Lecter. I am pretty sure the intent was to have Chilton back to play mind games with poor Hugh.

Looks like they want more Esparza!!!!
Made a SVU regular
wonkit, are you saying that the tv series Hannibal is, in fact, what happened before Silence of the Lambs and not just fabricated for a tv show?

I'm confused as usual. Silence of the Lambs is close to my favorite film, and I've seen Hannibal the film several times also. I haven't read any of the books.
I'm confused because in the tv show, we have the guy who has the ability to go back in time and see each crime/murder that was committed. That to me is science fiction, which is fine.
But nothing from the two films is sci-fi. They could actually happen in real life. That's why I can't connect the tv Hannibal to Silence....
I don't think Will's power is science fiction. He just has a great talent (and curse) for being able to see a crime scene and deduce what happened. It's like Sherlock Holmes territory.
SPOILER again
Isn't there already a palpable difference between the books and the show Hannibal since Will didn't voluntarily commit himself?

Will does not go back in time in the books. He is extraordinarily empathic, and can sense what the killer might have intended by his actions. He also a trained FBI agent (or has former police skills - somebody help me out?) so he uses his empathy to explain the clues in a special way. The only book I have read besides SILENCE is RED DRAGON, which about WIll - I haven't read any of the other HANNIBAL books. This series seems to be using the books as a jumping off place, so it is not, strictly speaking, a serialization, although the characters are moving in a direction consistent with what ultimately happens in SILENCE.
Not to change the topic too much, but Hulu only has the last three episodes. Por shame.
