I was in the area for dinner, so I decided to check it out; I didn't really have any desire to meet Euan again, but the performance was free, so why not?
They re-arranged the store *again* and now the showtunes and whatnot are down on the bottom floor. I've been to some other performances there that have been upstairs, in a decently sized space, but this was in a poorly-placed, small spot in the basement. The turnout sort of made me sad; there were like... maybe 20 people.
Euan is hysterical, and weird, and wonderful. He sang one song not on the album accepella, in place of the title track, due to technical difficulties, and then he did a few from the CD: two covers and Pie in the Sky. He asked if people had questions or anything, and just talked a lot... "rambled" might be a more accurate term. He talked a lot about Taboo, and just seemingly whatever else crossed his mind. He's funny, and hell, he impersonated both Whitney Houston and Cher.
I like the CD a lot; he has such a beautiful voice.
Euan is the best kind of freak - original, unusual and brilliant! I'm so happy he seems to have made NYC his home. We need this kind of talent here.

Yes, in his rambles he did say he's here for good now. He didn't go into the logistics, but he said he's finally gotten things straightened out for him to stay in the States, and they'll be finalized in September.
He should look into stand-up. He's so strange!
