Does anyone know why seats in Row A - Center ORCH are marked as obstructed at Music Box Theater? How bad is it?

Pretty bad. I sat in A 114 the first time I saw the show, but, fortunately, I got the ticket for $86.50 from TKTS. The stage is high, and the seats are really close to it, so you're looking up the entire time. It did quite a number on my neck. If you don't look up, then you're looking directly at the front of the stage. They have seat cushions which will help a bit, though. You won't see the actors' feet unless they're at the front of the stage, and anything at the bottom rear of the stage is pretty much lost. The one benefit is being able to see Ben Platt's physical performance up close, sweat, spit, snot, and all. It's just really uncomfortable, in my opinion.
I'm so jealous you got a DEH ticket from TKTS when they offered it back in the day! Did you see it in late November or early December last year?

November 30, the last Wednesday night before opening.
I sat in Row A in June the first performance after the Tony's and it was amazing! I am also pretty tall, so that may have affected it, but they're really good seats. During words fail Ben was over my seat and that got kind of uncomfortable when he start to spit (but that might be just because I have slight OCD) but other than that it's an amazing row.
I'd definitely love those seats even if you have to crane your neck to see just to be so close to the actors and get to see Ben Platt's amazing performance up close.

I sat in the front row twice, and those seats are fantastic. Yes there are moments when the computer screen and the bed block Evan out, but they are relatively short-lived and it is so amazing to be that close to the performers, particularly Ben. I would kill for those seats again. But beware of snot and spit. You may not be able to see the computer screens at the top of the stage particularly well, but that’s really not why you’re there.
Mark E, are you looking at DEH tickets on StubHub? There are a bunch of performances that seem to have the same tickets in Orch Center Row A listed, all with a notation that they have "partial view stamped on ticket." There are Orch Center Row A tickets for every evening performance this week.
But I have a friend who saw the show from Row A, and she said there was no stamp on her ticket. And I've never heard of a Broadway show that has marked front row center seats as partial view. So there's something weird about those tickets.
For those of you who've also seen the show from the front row, is there a notation on your ticket that it's partial view or obstructed? And has anyone here bought these "partial view" Row A tickets from StubHub?

I have a ticket from A5 and it has partial view printed on it. My husband sat there. I sat in his seat for a second to check it out. It was pretty bad.
If you're short get a cushion from an usher before the show to get an extra boost.

There's no "partial view" notation on my ticket, but I saw the show during previews. When did your friend see it? I just figured that, along the way, they decided to mark them correctly as "partial view," perhaps as a response to audience complaints/feedback. I assume the thing that makes these front row seats different from those at other theatres is how ridiculously close they are to the stage. I haven't sat in the front row in most Broadway houses, but I can't imagine many seats are as close to a stage that high as they are at the Music Box.
