i would love to see Merle Dandridge get nominated for supporting. she probably won't cuz the role seems so small, but she's amazing in it and deserves recognition. but i'll still be happy with atleast Amy Spanger

-best supporting actor and actress(musical/play): Manoel Felciano/Megan Lawrence, Samuel Barnett/Frances De La Tour

Lauren Molina is the only one I would love to see win who I think has no chance.
Drowsy, Sweeney, Patti LuPone, Michael Cerveris (who I feel is a bit of a long shot) John Doyle, Manoel Felciano... I admit to being very partial to the Sweeney Revival. I do know full well it has no chance at the sweep I would like to see.

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

-best supporting actor and actress(musical/play) Daniel Reichard/ Felicia P Fields

If I had my way Bob Martin and John L Young would tie for Best Actor.

Loved both of them.

I also loved everyone in the supporting actress category:
Beth Leavel is wonderful in Chaperone.
Felicia Finley is hysterical in The Wedding Singer but Fields blew me away, more than anyone!

For Plays:
Sher for Primo.
Nixon for Rabbit Hole.
Daly for Rabbit Hole.
Samuel Barnett- History Boys
A special award to David Lindsay Abaire- (Love his work)

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play - Judy Kaye in SOUVENIR! That is the only performance this past season that touched my heart.

I admit I've put down some people just because I think they should have a Tony...
best musical - I just want Wedding Singer to get that fourth slot (and Stephen Lynch to get the fifth actor in a musical nomination). As far as which show wins, I'm in an anything but Jersey Boys mode...

-best play - Lt. of Inishmore (Though I wish Stuff Happens was eligible...)
-best play revival - The Constant Wife
-best actress musical - Patti LuPone
-best actor musical - Harry Connick, Jr.
-best actress play - Judy Kaye
-best actor play - Ralph Fiennes
-best supporting actress musical - Carolee Carmello
-Best supporting actor musical - someone from Sweeney...Mano/Mark Jacoby/Alex Gemignani...
best supporting actress play - Frances De La Tour
best supporting actor play - Michael Cumpsty (I think that's the right category...)

Agreed. Manoel and everything Sweeney I'll be fine with.

Am I the only one who's bothered by everyone citing the awards as "supporting" instead of "featured?"

-best play : Not sure.
-best play revival: Any but "3 days of rain"
-best actress(musical): Maria Friedman

-best supporting actress(musical): Amy Spanger
-best supporting actor(musical): Adam Brazier
-best actor(play): Michael Hayden or Patrick Wilson

Bob Martin.

The award is "Best performance by an actor in a musical play or comedy." Which part of that does he not excel in? There's no mention of singing or dancing and it was intentionally written that way because musicals used to have non-singing roles, sometimes the leads.
