Ever played the same role twice. I've played Mordcha in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF twice. Once in Fiddler Jr and now plain Fiddler.
Anyone else had this happen?
I've played Sonny in "Grease" twice and Puck in "Midsummer" twice, and I've done "Oklahoma!" twice, but not the same roles
I've been in the chorus of 'Oklahoma!" twice. I've also done two productions of "Joseph"..one on stage, and one preparing the children's chorus.
I haven't played the role twice, but I would LOVE to play Lenny again in Rumors...
I was Armond in Once on this Island twice.
Molly in "Annie" twice
Brigitta in "Sound of Music" twice
The Artful Dodger in "Oliver!" twice
Not yet. I do have a friend, however, who was cast as a cat in our 1998 production of 'Snow White'... and then given the same role in our 2005 production.
I've been in the same play twice and performed the same exact scene three years later, but the opposite character. So never the same part just the same play.
I've had some interesting experiences with this.
One year I appeared as an ensemble member in "HMS Pinafore" and then Lt. Schrank in "West Side Story," both with the same summer stock theater. The next year in college I appeared as Sir Joseph in "Pinafore" and then played Lt. Schrank again in another production of "West Side."
My junior year of high school, I played Cinderella's Prince in "Into the Woods," and a year later I played the Prince in a local theater production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella."
I'm now 22 and out of college, and I know I'll probably end up playing at least a couple of these roles again in my lifetime, although I'm starting to loose my hair, so they might have to wig me if I were to play the Prince again!
Our Reno in Anything Goes played Hope a few months ago in her school production.
The Music Man, Marcellus Washburn for a stint of six months with two different directors. I was hoping the second time around that I'd get a different part but no. It was a fun time none the less
It's not a "role" But I've done ANNIE twice. First I was Annie now I'm doing it and I'm Annette (annette comes in to make your bed...)/ Rockette. And I have bad news, my high school will be doing ANNIE next year. noooooo! It has good memories but I wasn't planning to do it a second time. People were dropping out like crazy, so they asked me. I know I probably won't audition next year for the high school one. Or should I?

I've done Emory in Boys in the Band twice - once in Chicago and then again a few years later in New Orleans. Very different productions and very different Emorys. Too young in each case. And I'd looooove to do him again.
The theatre I work at is a subscriber driven theatre so we do the same shows often some of the roles/ shows I've repeated are . .
Jonas / Farmer VanBlutt / Sir VanRenselar in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
I also played the Herald twice in Cinderella.

I haven't played the same part twice but I have been in the same musical 3 times..."the wizard of oz". ahhh yess. once in middle school...I played Glinda and it was called "oz"(crappy kids version). The second production was the beginning of my junior year in high school...and I played the wicked witch...and finally I was most recently in a production as Dorothy. It was a role I always wanted to play but I have to say doing that show 3 times was more than enough.
I did Jack in 'Into the Woods' twice and I loved every minute of it. I would gladly play the role ten more times.
Dorothy. Three times actually, twice in Wizard of Oz and once in The Wiz
I've played Charlie Brown in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown THREE times! LoL - its Crazy! I've done Joseph twice as well... the show, not the character.
I've had a long history with "The Odd Couple". I first played 'Speed' in one production, then I directed two different productions of the play (years apart) and during the second time directing I also played 'Felix'. Years later I directed the female version.
I've played Boy Scrooge in Geva Theatre's annual A Christmas Carol two years in a row.
Five shows:
Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar (in college first, then a community theatre a few years ago; last year, I played Judas in the show at a different theatre)
the Baker in Into the Woods (both times in community theatres)
George in Sunday in the Park with George (college and a semi-professional theatre)
Che in Evita (community theatres)
and the Padre in Man of La Mancha (college and community theatre)
Recently, I was asked if I'd be interested in playing Conrad Birdie in a local production of Bye-Bye, Birdie. I'm not sure I have the time, but if I do, it will be the second time for that role, too.
I've played Tony in West Side Story twice and it is still my favorite role to play in one of my favorite shows! I've also played Jack in Into the Woods twice and that is such a fun show!
Mark in "Oil City Symphony" 3 times
Hanna (duh) in "La Cage" 2 times and Phaedra the 3rd time I did "La Cage"
