Evil Dead - Next Block of Tickets

Anyone have any clue on when the next block of tickets is set to go on sale for Evil Dead: The Musical?

I'm planning a trip in mid April and would love to get some ticks in advance.

Thanks in advance.

re: Evil Dead - Next Block of Tickets

It's my understanding that tickets aren't being released in blocks for EVIL DEAD, but week-by-week so that only two months of advance tickets are available. So today you can buy tickets through March 10, next week March 17 should be on sale, and hopefully you can snag great seats when your trip is 8 weeks away. Thanks in advance for helping to keep me employed!

pianodan- Congrats on the show's success, glad it's a good gig for you. Hope it runs for a long time!

There are people who only consider a show successful when and if it recoups. As much as I love Evil Dead, it's far from being a success (financially) at this point!

I can't wait for the cd to come out!

re: Evil Dead - Next Block of Tickets

I'm hoping to get to NY at the end of March, and it will make my holiday if I can see this show. I've been an 'Evil Dead' fangirl since before I even knew 'Rent' (which was the show that tipped me from "likes musicals" to "geeks out over theatre"), and I'm totally looking forward to the cast recording. :3

I can't wait for the CD. I saw this on a field trip and as I'm typing this, I'm also writing an essay on Craft and Intention of art. I'm on the paragraph where I speak about Evil Dead's intention.

As much as I loved the show, and want to buy the CD there is virtually no way it will ever recoup. However it is awesome fun and an excellent show to take people to who aren’t interested in theatre, because its so funny you forget where you are.

Zimmy, I dont think you will have any problem getting tickets. You can probably order them the week before you leave and score excellent seats.

"Have they come yet?"

Jane2-
My definition of "success" has nothing to do with a producer recouping money. As long as a show has a halfway decent run, it's a HUGE success for the actors, musicians, technicians and management personnel who have employment. Certainly I hope this show has a long healthy run, but I hope that for every show because I want theatrical artists to work as much as they can.

I do too.
Please keep in mind that when one show closes, another opens and many people are employed. Everyone in the business is aware of this going in.
