I love how they kept the original logo and just spiced it up a bit. I've always wondered what would become of the logo if an ALW musical was to be revived (since most of his show's logos are so recognizable).
Am I right in saying that this is the first ALW revival?
Elena looks gorgeous, and the sets look great. Thank you!

There was also a Joseph revival.

I think they are making it too much like the movie. It's my favorite stage musical but my least favorite movie musical. At least Roger sounds like she has some vocal power.
How do those pics look like the movie? I don't see it.
This looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing
Looks very literal. I hope they don't make the mistake of trying to turn Che into a real, flesh and blood character. He works best in the piece as a symbol. That's why I've always preferred the iconic look he had in the Hal Prince production.

I wonder if this has any chance of a transfer.
CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS RECORDING
Elena looks so perfect in those clothing. She has the perfect vibe for Eva. She is also absolutely gorgeous.

Okay, you totally lost me on this one. Che in the Hal Prince staging was clearly the very real, flesh and blood Che Guevarra. Alan Parker in the film, made the choice to make the character more of an "every man" which seams more symbolic than having the figure portrayed as an actual historical character.

The Che in the current London revival is very much in line with Parker's choice for the film version. He's very much a commentator/everyman figure. Matt Rawle, who plays Che, has a glorious voice but lacks direction. As a result, he doesn't have the impact I remember Che having in the original production.
Che was reportedly clean shaven when he lived in Argentina. The Che in the Prince production was clearly modeled on the Cuban revolutionary Che, down to the beret and the olive fatigues (and, I guess you could argue, even the cigar he's puffing on his entrance). Prince went with this historically incorrect image, one suspects, for a very specific reason.

Che's kind of cute...
Also, the new Eva sounds really good in that 2-second sound byte of Don't Cry for Me Argentina.

Remember it is still in early previews.
