Posted: 3/18/12 at 9:26pmHas anyone done stage door for Evita? I have my ticket already for April and will be there regardless, but am wondering how crazy Ricky's fans still are. I am still reeligng from seeing How to Succeed and having no chance for anyone who actually saw the show to get a Playbill signed. Thanks for your help!

Posted: 3/18/12 at 9:36pmTake a look at the Evita preview thread. Seems like he only signs a dozen or so before he leaves. This theater has such a tricky stage door, it's so close to the corner of the street it makes it hard when it is a celebrity coming out.

Posted: 3/18/12 at 10:15pmWednesday matinee would probably be your best bet but yes. I couldn't believe the amount of people after the show.

Posted: 3/18/12 at 11:04pmI went on the 2nd preview night. My friend and I were waiting for an ensemble member so we didn't bother standing near the crowd but it was awful. With that stage door being so close to Times Square it made it even worse. People saw a crowd and decided to crowd around and asked who people were waiting for. Some people said "John Travolta" and there was even a rumor that it was "Rick Santorum" lol but like people said, Ricky came out and signed for about a minute, two at the max and then left. If you see the show, you probably won't get to the stage door in time, not worth it anyway.

Posted: 3/19/12 at 12:24amI didn't camp out and I managed to snag an autograph. The person next to me practically called him out as he was already making his way to the car. He also had a playbill and a sharpie out and ready. I didn't see Ricky have one on his persons. So just some tips. I was never a big fan of his music but its still exciting getting his chicken scratch on my program.

Here is a photo of what the stage door looked like this past Thursday. And just an FYI, there was a HUGE crowd standing across the street too waiting.

Posted: 3/19/12 at 10:35amI was there on Wednesday night, for the actual Second Preview. My friends and I literally left the theater as the curtain call began and we ran to the stage door and there was already a small crowd there. I am sure they didnt even go see the show. I saw Michael Cerveris come out and then Ricky came out in a timely manner. He signed our playbills and we let him keep the pen because he didn't have one. In total, I'd day he signed for only 6 people or so, then he got into the car. I recommend leaving the theater as soon as the show ends, BEFORE the curtain call begins and then make your way out to the stage door and just call his name when he comes out. You can see several videos including mine on youtube if you search for "Ricky Martin Stage DOor Evita."

Posted: 3/19/12 at 2:50pmI'd like to know how is it for Elena. I'm seeing the show this weekend with a group of friends and I am dying to meet her. I'd just like to know if she comes out or how long she's out for.
