I'm hoping to exchange my Angels in America tickets for a higher priced ticket, which I'm assuming they allow since I'll be giving them more money.
That said... I managed to forget to bring the actual tickets with me today, and I want to do it today before tony noms tomorrow morning. I had originally ordered them on Ticketmaster.com, and had the physical tickets mailed to me... is there any way for them to look me up in Ticketmaster? Or do I need to go home to get the tickets? I work in Times Square so would love to avoid that schlep, but will do it if need be.
Thanks!

You can do it through Ticketmaster. They will charge you $10 per ticket. I moved up a few rows and was charged a total of $20 for two tickets to both parts.
Thanks - do you know if those fees are just the web/phone service fees? I'd prefer to do it in person to avoid extra dollars since I'm right here, but just need to know if I have to go home and get the physical tickets first.
Judy, when I was there, the box office told me I had to exchange through Ticketmaster. The fees sometimes are voided simply because they’re feeling nice, but don’t count on it.

Ah, interesting. So you mean they won't do it at the box office at all, even if I went home to get my tickets? I have to call the number? Hopefully they'll be nice about the fees since the tickets themselves are so expensive!
I mean, if it’s not a hassle to try, then try, but when I went in January to ask about exchanging my tickets, they said all tickets purchased through Ticketmaster have to be exchanged through them. She wasn’t very friendly however and it took me a few minutes to get her attention, so maybe she wasn’t in the mood to help.

Noted. Thank you both for the help. It's not far from my office so I may swing by to ask, but if I have to do it through Ticketmaster then it is what it is. (Of course I'm kicking myself reading the Angels in America seating thread, because it sounds like you can get great deals on close orchestra seats on StubHub - I'm trying to switch from mezzanine to front orchestra - but I'm sure they won't just let me flat out return these.)

Were you able to do this for Angels in America specifically? After a lot of hold, I finally got through to Ticketmaster and they said that the Neil Simon Theatre policy says "no refunds or exchanges" (of course it does, they all do) and that they couldn't do anything for me. This is nuts, that they won't let me give them an extra $300. (!) I'm planning to swing by the box office to check in person, but I've never heard of this situation that you can't upgrade for a better ticket in a show that's not sold out. Any ideas of what I can do?
Did you call the Ticketmaster Arts Line? The support people that mainly handle concert and sporting events never say anything different than that... it's the number on the site for any show that uses Ticketmaster.

Yes I was able to do it for Angels in America. They even allowed me to use a code on the exchange.
I ended up exchanging my Angels in America tickets three times haha. Again, you just have to talk to the right people. I actually had more luck talking to the main fan support line over the Arts line. Arts line had to make a request to the theatre that could take up to a week, the fan support line was able to exchange right away. I'd just try and call again.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I had no idea there was a different Broadway help line! That person was able to help me and I got the ticket I wanted. Ah, sports and concert people.
Thank you all for the help in general. I may now need to sell a kidney to make up for the premium price, but at least I have a fantastic seat for Angels. :)
Just a general question for your folks that were able to exchange via Ticketmaster, what was your dispatch method? I could imagine them being forgiving if it was e-tickets, but if you've already received your printed tickets, do they need you to send them back?

I had originally chosen to have printed tickets mailed... and when I just exchanged them by phone they said to simply rip up the originals and that my replacement tickets would also be delivered by standard mail. So no problem at all.

The guy at the Angels box office was extremely rude when I went and asked this question.
He just snarled NO and turned his back on me.
Didn't mention I could do it online or anything.
I went and bought better seats from Tkts and gave my mezz tickets to someone for free.
When I was trying to upgrade my Angels tickets, I called the Ticketmaster arts line 6 or 7 times before I finally got someone who could help me. If they say no, don't give up - just keep at it.

they'll cancel those tickets and the barcode won't scan for anyone who tries to use them.
Now I'm thinking I should upgrade mine from Rear Mezz! Potentially to partial view front orchestra.

Thanks for posting this today. It made me look at the current offering for the code I used. I noticed that for my dates they had expanded the code to the front mezzanine. I was able to move from Row H to Row C of the Mezzanine at no extra charge.
