That date was definitely there before; it didn't just show up yesterday (I remember seeing it when I was trying to figure out when I wanted to go, and that was last week maybe?).
One good thing about the second row of the upper level stage seating is that you can lean forward because there's no one behind you. It really wasn't a bad view at all for Twelfth Night, and I'm assuming this will be very similar.
I'd imagine an extension is largely dependent on the actors' availability. Rylance seems like a busy guy (I have no idea if he has any upcoming projects, though).
