I thought the same, whoever the Dory is sounds A LOT like Ellen, which I love.
I'll be honest.. I was a little skeptical about this when I first heard about it (and I'm sure I wasn't the only one) but after listening to the previews on iTunes, I actually quite love the music. It's very catchy, especially in my opinion "Go With the Flow" and "Just Keep Swimming". Very nice.

It's only available on iTunes and after I saw a preview performance at Animal Kingdom they said the cd would shortly be sold in the park stores and iTunes only.

I got it yesterday and love it. Especially 'Going With the Flow.' Who plays the voice of the turtle? I really like him?

Wow, everyone seems to love this. I thought it was ok at best. I can't believe they cast a non-singer for Marlin. Whoever plays Nemo is super though.

On Michael Rupert's Myspace blog he mentions that "Nemo" is indeed Kate Wetherhead, who is in Legally Blonde right now.

Michael Leon Wooley? I knew he sounded familiar.
And I knew that sounded a bit like Stephanie D'abruzzo (especially during "Hi, Nigel").

But Karla Mosley? The same Karla Mosley from Hi-5? That's so funny!

Really?! I've listened to Avenue Q demos and...yeah...Robert Lopez does not sound like that! Though, I do find it really cool that OBC Q members Jordan Gebler (Brian) and Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Kate/Lucy) are in this...where are the liner notes you speak of, anyways?...

EDIT: ...besides with the actual CD, of course. I just learned the physical version was released in Orlando...

When my Family was in Disney they saw the production and said it was fantastic...im still a softy for Tarzan rocks...i mean come on who does not love the "Two World's One Family Tour?" I think that show should have stayed in Disney instead of making the whole bway production..but anyway another topic...def. support Nemo.

I have the cast recording for the Animal Kingdom's show Festival of The Lion King...and it SUCKS!

But I can't wait for this one! I'm not an itunes person so I'm gonna wait for it to pop up on ebay!

Kate Wetherhead is Nemo.

...I actually think that Lonny Price is Marlin.

I read that, but everyone here is saying that it doesn't sound like him and I saw a video on the web of a performance of Big Blue World (is that the name?) at a press confrence and it starred Kate as Nemo and Lonny Price as Marlin. So I just figured it might be him but I haven't heard the music ssoooo...

Oh ok...yeah the song was "In the Big Blue World". However, I think the performers were slightly modified for the recording. I typed up that list directly from what was included with the CD, so I don't believe they'd mess up who was who.

I just listened to the iTunes clips. Sounds good, but I can't decide if I want to buy it or not...is it worth it??

Also, something about "Just Keep Swimming" makes me think of Peter Pan the Musical. Maybe it's that a woman is singing and she sounds like a little boy (I mean Dory, even though Nemo obviously fits this description). Anybody else hear it? Just me?

It IS def worth it.
You'll love it. When I heard it the first time (and it was April of last year), I was hooked from the get-go.

It happened with AVENUE Q, too. I loved it.

This is so exciting! I saw the musical three times when at WDW a month ago. I videoed a minute of it before they made me put away my camera.

I will be buying this as soon as I get home.

I went to Disney World last week and had a chance to check this musical out. I was actually on the plane from Chicago to Orlando and I was listening to XM radio on the plane and one of the songs came on the station. I was incredibly disappointed in the show, that is if we're talking about the one playing in Animal Kingdom in Disney World. It's actually quite bad. It's kind of Avenue Q meets the Lion King, although the puppetry is nowhere near as well done. The show is visually spectacular with the colors and lights and costumes, but wow what a bad idea. First off, Finding Nemo in 30 minutes is just a BAD idea. It's choppy, doesn't make sense, and not to mention they cut out most of the comedy. The performances left alot to be desired too. They didn't really have the puppetry skills, and the voices really weren't there either. I just don't see how this show could survive or work outside of Disney World. If they made it a two hour show with the whole story line in the show it could possibly work, but to me it's just the wrong Disney movie to turn into a musical.
