There is an audio recording of FINDING NEMO - THE MUSICAL on iTunes today. Does anyone know if this is coming out for real or just as a download?
I bet it will play in rep with LITTLE MERMAID - they can cut costs by sharing sets, costumes and roller skates.
i think it's the WDW Orlando Version

for only 9.99 for the whole album, I'm sure that will be cheaper than buying it in a Disney store (which is probably the only place you'll be able to find it). from what I heard, it sounds nice.

Thanks JB Singer. I had a feeling it would be only sold at Disney World (like the ALADDIN CD). I wish iTunes put who the singers were on it.

Wow...this CD is supposedly by New York professionals...but then why are the character's voices so less energetic and more sluggish than the cast I saw live? I would have liked it if they would put the names of the cast members, but it's Disney, what'd you expect?...

Nemo sounds like Kate Wetherhead, not sure about the rest of the cast. I wish there was a cast list somwhere..
That is what I thought too.
Are the music/vocals live at the stage show, or is it all pre-recorded?

I can't find it... What are you all searching under?
This is a pre-recorded studio version of the show (and, as stated above, using NY actors who don't portray the emotions of the stage show very well). It was recorded before the first public performance, so there are some changes. When searching, I just typed in "Finding Nemo the Musical". Hope this helps!

I agree Yero, Nemo does sound just like Kate Wetherhead.
Theatertrash - It's in the "Soundtrack" section on iTunes.
Hey Bobby! Your guess is as good as mine. I know some shows are pre-recordings, but no nothing of this one!

Yes, the music is pre-recorded at the live show, but it's a lot more fun than this recording makes it sound, trust me!...

The music's pre-recorded, but the actors sing live on stage

Yes, it is the WDW version...
Theres a link on the wdwmagic site
The music in the stage show is canned, but the show is performed live by 18 Equity actors each show, many with Broadway credits.
this is a fun CD. I kinda like it.

I think I know the reason this is on iTunes. I see many cast recordings from even the most obscurest of shows (like a original community theatre musical called "Oh No, Not Emily" which is a G&S-like musical comedy in which college students find a hitherto undiscovered original poem by Dickinson), and CDs like that can only be available at the theatre, and so they do the same thing with this particular show.
I bought it, and I absolutely love it!! I originally had the demo of this (courtesy of Bobby Lopez), but now it sounds better now that it's sung with professional singers (with Bobby as Marlin and, I think, Kristen as Dory). Unassailable!! This is going to be a hit.

This release made my month! I've seen the show 5 times since it's very first preview and LOVE it. I've been waiting for this recording since the first time I saw it. I know they were having problems with it, so I expected it to come out a lot later. Although I miss the actual cast (even though there are two groups) and it's not quite the same energy, it's still a great recording. Thank you Disney!!!

Um...uh, I am 100% sure that the Marlin on this CD is not Robert Lopez. Kate Wetherhead is Nemo...and well, Mr. Lopez has a much less gravelly voice than this Marlin...
The Marlin on this recording is completely miscast.
Should have just used the show cast... but at least he's the only one who is downright bad. The Dory is actually quite good and even sounds a bit like Ellen.
