Absolutely I did... and I quote (you can also click the link to the post to see the credit given): And this question comes from user ray-andallthatjazz86 on BroadwayWorld.com. What was your experience like working with Tony Kushner in Caroline, or Change? He is a God to me! That makes an excellent chant and slogan! This one comes from user MTVMANN over at BroadwayWorld.com: Can you still sing ?Getting Married Today? by memory? And how did you ever sing it at that tempo

Have a Question for Bobby Steggert? Jun 24 2009, 08:30:18 PM
Hello all! Thank you so much for your help with interview questions a week ago when I spoke with Veanne Cox. This coming week I am fortunate to have an interview set up with Bobby Steggert - who you may remember from 110 in the Shade as well as Yank! (exclamation theirs, not mine) Once again, please send any questions you may have. I'll give you full credit in the interview! xoJR

Have a Question for Veanne Cox? Jun 9 2009, 11:51:15 PM
Hey boys! Long time no post. My name is Justin Buchbinder and I used to be super active around these parts. In my time away I became the official Broadway Blogger for http://www.homo-neurotic.com , a Gay GQ-esque online mag for NYC. This week I will be interviewing actress Veanne Cox, who is appearing in the York Theatre Company's upcoming concert production of "High Spirits." And I want to ask her your questions! If you have anything you'd like me to ask her, just respond to this thread. I'll even give you credit in the interview. xoJR

re: Trained animals on a Broadway Stage - Good Idea? Jan 31 2007, 05:55:50 PM
I grant you that. It just brought up my constant nerves with live and tempermental animals on a stage in a building full of people.

Agreed THAT was pretty cute. But that hand. That damned hand...

Trained animals on a Broadway Stage - Good Idea? Jan 31 2007, 04:29:42 PM
After seeing the snippet of Annaleigh Ashford and her dog on the Legally Blonde post, I am reminded of this. I myself often get nervous when there is a real animal on a broadway stage. They can be trained, but as you've seen on "stupid pet tricks" you never know when they'll bite or pee on you. In Legally Blonde, the exchange, i think, is really awkward, with Laura holding out her hand to (unsuccessfully) silence the dog. But, on the other hand, the other option

re: Will someone ever release the Lestat cast recording? Jan 31 2007, 04:18:53 PM
I think it failed because it went about it seriously. People bemoan shows that know they're ridicluous... but sometimes you just have to be absurd. if Lestat had been INTERVIEW! -Interview with the Vampire, ON ICE!- It would have sold out for years.

re: OMIGOD! A Word Premiere (Legally Blonde SF Video) Jan 31 2007, 03:34:46 PM
Hahaha Wedding Day plagued my mind for months after i first heard it. I dont think any song has THAT sort of potential.

I hated the hand gestures. It's obviously part of the training. And it's very very obvious. I cannot STAND live animals on stage. I spend their duration of appearance in nerves and on edge that they will attack the talent or pee on the set.

re: Mary Poppins on ITunes Jan 31 2007, 03:30:03 PM
iTunes isn't slow in general. It's the studio's job to sign contracts and offer their music on iTunes. If the London cast studio saw iTunes as a profit center, they could have had Poppins up there in less than a week from when they started the process.

75 grand? really? I'm so glad i stopped acting and took a job with the Internet - I'm richer than Broadway stars!

re: Could Someone Explain Daphne Rubin Vega to Me Jan 31 2007, 03:19:47 PM
Personally I don't mind her. It's not that she can't sing... she's just very throaty. It's very Unique. And it seems that some of Broadway's most memorable voices weren't sweet and soft... but rather dynamic and unique. Unforgettable.

Will someone ever release the Lestat cast recording? Jan 31 2007, 02:56:11 PM
Im not saying it's good. I'm not even saying the show was palatable. Mainly, I'm just perplexed as to why the recording went to studio AND was recorded... and still not released? I mean, come on, even Rosie released TABOO (i liked taboo, and Raul by extension, so don't think im knocking it) Is the possible loss of money really that great? I'm asking here because all you Broadway Legends seem to have so much Broadway sense that a newbie such as myself does not.

re: Shows you just don't 'get' Jan 29 2007, 05:37:16 PM
ANY Jukebox musical. Don't care which or why or where. I don't get why people want to see an artist's work inappropriately smashed together and squished through a story that tries to make it all work out.

re: Who Would Dig The Prince of Egypt on Broadway? Jan 29 2007, 05:32:59 PM
This is exactly how I feel. I love the music. Would love more music in its vein, and extended versions of shorter numbers. Le sigh... the masses have spoken. And I dont think anyone ever thought to bring it anyway.
