Take a look...I personally think she looks pretty good, but seems to lack a certain "va va voom". Thoughts?
What's with the pointy tits?
It looks like they're trying to play off of the success of Mad Men and the "Joan" character...
Yeah, definitely going for a Joan. Which is fine with me. Joan rocks.
....As long as Rosemary doesn't become Betty Draper.
The 'pointy tits' are what the style of womens' brassieres were in the 50's and early 60's. To borrow something else from Mad Men, here's a pic:
Same creative team from the 2010 Broadway revival of PROMISES, PROMISES (director/choreographer Rob Ashford again, too!), so this will once again have the whole MAD MEN look -- only difference is that HOW TO SUCCEED was actually on Broadway in 1961 and took place in 1961 and PROMISES, PROMISES originated and took place in 1968 but moved to 1962 for its 2010 revival. The MAD MEN craze is what prompted (and helped fund) these 2 revivals.
Here's more of Tammy's Hedy (with John Larroquette as J.B. Biggley):
omg it's Roger and Joan!!!! Ma' dreams! They're coming true through not as attractive lookalikes. Seriously though, this is almost beyond inspiration. The similarity is re-donk-ulous.
Red hair...
How original...
Not
And the 'pointy tits' are from what is known as a bullet bra which was the height if fashion for women those days. They mirrored the tail fins on cars.
"Bullet bras first made their appearance in the 1940s, and featured a pointy, cone-like shape that created voluptuous results. The bullet bra rose to popularity when Hollywood stars, including Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell, and Lana Turner, began sporting one. The bra created a busty shape known as the "Sweater Girl" look, so-called because of the way that sweaters clung to the appealing shape of the bra and accentuated any woman's assets.
The bullet bra was typically created from nylon and satin. The majority included reinforced circular stitching, some with "spokes" from the center of each cup stitched outward. Bras of that era, void of padding or underwire, were constructed to provide exceptional support that lifted breasts to new heights. The bullet bra, known also as a torpedo or cone bra, created a silhouette that was a definitive part of 40s and 50s culture."

Regarding the obvious MAD MEN influenced red hair for Tammy's Hedy La Rue...
In all fairness, both the original 1961 Broadway Hedy: Virginia Martin AND from the 1967 film adaptation Hedy: Maureen Arthur -- both played a red-headed Hedy La Rue.
Luba Mason played her as a blonde in the 1995 Broadway revival.
Brody you always beat me to it
Nicholette Hart in the Goodspeed's recent production
Maureen Arthur in the film
I was in fact, referring to the top picture, the production I just did out at Goodspeed.
Our show was being built in NYC at the same shop that was prepping for this production...
She doesn't look cheap or tacky enough.
Why this Mad Men obsession?
