A whole hour this thread was started with 36 views and not one of you could name a Latino performer?

Leave it to a LATINO to answer this question:

Chita Rivera
Rita Moreno
Raul Julia
Daphne Rubin Vega
Jimmy Smits
Ednita Nazario
Ruben Blades
Marc Anthony
Jamie Camil
Esai Morales
Sara Ramirez
Raquel Welch
Jose Ferrer
Mel Ferrer
Katy Jurado
Desi Arnaz
Diana Davila

I'm sure if Idina Menzel were Latina this question would have been answered much more quickly....

Here's a link to an intersting book on the subject:

I left his name out on purpose from the first post. It was much too obvious a first choice.

Maria Conchita Alonso.

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

Esai, yum yum! Jimmy, Raul - yum yum too!
Can you tell me about Katy Jurado?
I remember her as La Dunaway's mum in Eva Peron, First Lady - for tv. Loved her.

Wow, those are a lot of performers. Now I'm wondering, is the guy who wrote Avenue Q a latino? His name sounded like it was, but I'm not sure.
