I just read a newspaper article this morning about the past American Idols, and when they came to Fantasia they stated that she has verified that she will be appearing in a motion picture version of Ophrah's musical. Is this correct, and if so does anyone else have any other information?

It came out ages ago that she was doing this....they really should not bother turning this in to a film

Fantasia had mentioned it before in an interview, but that is the only source that there is a film-version in the making.

There was a Playbill.com article that confirmed this but I don't know much else.

That article was based on an interview Fantasia gave to MTV. She is the only source that the film is in the works.

The project is listed on IMDB, but you can only view it if you have IMDB Pro.

It should not be made, but at least Fantasia will be in it.
