Ok i'm changing this Fantasy Casting to Fantasy Casting Parade (or if you'd like pick another show) write the whole cast of characters and each person that you would want to be in that role

I liked some of those! Especially the Hairspray and Wicked ones (except for the Christina/Jessica thing, of course). Lacey Chabert as Penny, Patti LaBelle as Motormouth, Glenn Close as Velma, these picks are GENIUS!!! (I also like Judi Dench as Morrible and Elijah Wood as Boq)

Thanks for the response. I'm curious, though: Why don't you think Aguilera can play Elphaba?

I chose her for three reasons:
1) She has a tremendous belt.
2) She'd look great with green makeup.
3) According to several film directors that have tested her, she is a "sensational" actress.

I love Christina, and she does have a tremendous belt; the only reason I'm not sure she could play Elphaba is because I don't know her acting ability (she did host SNL this season, but that didn't really showcase her acting ability ) Plus, I wouldn't want critics tearing her apart because she's "not as good as Idina" or "she's just another pop singer who's 'trying' to be a broadway actress" (which is what I think they would say)

But wouldn't her Defying Gravity be AWESOME!!!!

Don't be silly?! Wuh? Jessica Simpson has an amazing, and disgustingly high, belt range. She also has a surprising coloratura. And Stephen Schwartz said that the role of Galinda was written for a belter.
