Today is October 22nd, and it marks the beginning of preview performances for the world premiere of Beau Willimon's new political drama, Farragut North.

In the play, according to the Atlantic Theatre Company, "Stephen Bellamy (John Gallagher, Jr.) is a wunderkind press secretary who has built a career that men twice his age would envy. During a tight presidential primary race, Stephen's meteoric rise falls prey to the backroom politics of more seasoned operatives. Farragut North is a timely story about the lust for power and the costs one will endure to achieve it."

Anyone who's seeing it tonight and/or in the near future, by all means, post your reviews, thoughts, questions, comments, and concerns here.

To the cast and crew: Break legs, all!

Limelight...you and I are the only two that seem excited about this one. Personally, I cannot wait. Seeing it next Saturday night!

Can't wait to hear anyone's thoughts.

You are not the only ones excited to see this. I have a ticket for next Thursday night, and I can't wait.

I want to see this not only because of John Gallagher Jr, but Chris Noth as well. I can't wait to see how this performance differs from the two roles he's best known for.

I'd like to see this too. Any idea whether the Atlantic does a student rush?

I'm pretty sure they do, but no longer being a student I don't pay much attention.

Remember, the Atlantic is pretty tiny, so there probably not too many tix available.

I'm so excited to see how this play has developed over the past few years.

FYI: I just got tickets for Saturday night, and my ticket was only $16 - student. So they are doing student tickets - you just have to show your ID when you pick them up.

Yeah def.! Also, the website that they take you to has a bunch of student tickets for a ton of off-Broadway shows! I'm def. going to take advantage of it and see "Fifty Words" and "Kindness" before they close.

Yeah, I used the site to get my ticket for Fifty Words. I was hoping and waiting to see if they would have the discount for Farragut North too and I'm really glad they do. It's a great way to see shows and be able to buy tickets ahead of time.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get student tickets at the ATC box office?

Any reviews from those who have gone?

And thanks, RentBoy; I had gone on the Student No Rush website and didn't see it listed, so I thought that the discount wasn't available. But you can plug in the code on the Farragut North ticket page and all is well. Thanks for the heads up!

And I'm not sure. I imagine you can, even though they tell you to go to the TicketCentral Box Office. It's worth a try, if it's not too far out of your way.

My friend and I did student rush this afternoon, and the tickets were $10 each.

I really enjoyed the play. I was impressed with all of the actors, especially John Gallagher, Jr. The characters weren't all that likable, but I was still invested in the story. I thought it was timely and thought-provoking.
