Def pick up Civilian and Model Prisoner (Adam Pascal) and Look Around (Anthony Rapp.) Worth every penny plus more! Also (as said above) Kristin's album and Idina's is awsome. I dont know if Still, I Can't be Still is in stock anymore but I know Here is and its wonderful.
I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart.

I'll speak for myself and emcee and say Civilian.
Krisin's 'Let Yourself Go' is also very good.

Kristin's is probably the only one I listen to most often. That and all of Liza's stuff of course.

Rachel York's brand new "Let's Fall in Love" is terrific. She crosses over into Big Band/jazz, singing 12 great standard love songs. Check it out at Barnes & Noble. I love Lauren Kennedy's "Songs of Jason Robert Brown", Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley's duet CDs (especially "Unsuspecting Hearts") and their respective solo CDs.

Most of the solo recording I know come from Rent cast members, but they have some great stuff.
Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp, Idina Menzel
Caren Lyn Manuel
Matt Caplan
Joshua Kobak / Swim
Chad Richardson
Jeremy Kushnier
Cary Shields / Poncho
Karmine Alers
There's a lot of them (definitely forgetting some), & I enjoy them all, for the most part. I think since Rent has such a youthful, rockish type of voice to it a lot of the actors are themselves serious musicians.
I enjoy Kristin Chenoweth's CD because Girl in 14G is hysterical.
I'm very interested in other solo recordings from Broadway actors, so this is a good thread to expand my CD collection.
