Wildcat -- I lost just absolutely adore PROMENADE. That OCR has recently become one of my favorites, right up there with IN TROUSERS and A NEW BRAIN.
Other rare musicals that I love are NICK & NORA, THE RINK, DANCE A LITTLE CLOSER, and GRIND.

Here's one that I doubt any of you have heard of:
Rebels
Book by John Allen, William Squier and Mana Allen
Music by Jeffrey Lodin
Lyrics by William Squier and John Allen
This musical has had a few readings/workshops in NYC (first one was back in 1993) and then had its world premiere in Illinois in 2001. A much-revised version had its premiere in Connecticut in 2004, which I was an understudy/ensemble member in. The score is just so superb and the ten- to fifteen-minute opening number is breathtaking. Look for this fantastic musical in NYC in the near future.
