I have to agree with Necromancer. Twenty Million People is a great Opening. I always want more whenever I hear that song. I also think On Any Sunday is great.

Favorite opening numbers:
"Circle of Life" from the Lion King
The "Prologe"(Look Down)from Les Miserables.

Favorite act one closings:
"One Day More" from Les Miserables
"I'd Give My Life for You," from Miss Saigon.

Not sure if any of these would work for a review though.

42nd Street's got a killer opening.

Cabaret's Wilkommen.

Ragtime's opening. WOW!

The Lion King's Circle of Life is one of my favorites.
