Hmm...for me one of my favorites has to be the audition from 42nd Street. The curtain goes up just a bit and all you see are the legs of the dancers. They just tapping away and the curtain goes up all the way and there's just a great dance number to behold.

I agree Eris, I just did 42nd Street and god that number is my absolute favorite, at least to perform! I also love "Ragtime", "Tradition", "All That Jazz", and I count Follies' Prologue too. My list is also endless with waaaayyy too many to name.
Ragtime - it was the first show I saw in NYC (I was a late bloomer)

Some favorites are "Epiphany" from BARE, "We Dance" from Once On This Island, "A New World" frm Songs of a New World, the opening number to A Man of No Importance, "Greatest Record Store on Earth" from High Fedelity, and my all time fav. "Four Jews in a Room B*tching" from Falsettos
TITANIC's opening number is my favorite. It's like 10 songs, no stopping. "In Every Age", "How Did They Build Titanic", "There She Is", "Loading the Inventory", "The Largest Moving Object On The Earth", "I Must Get On That Ship", "The First Class Roster", "Godspeed Titanic"
