Feeling Electric at NYMF

Haven't seen much posted about this show, but it's a fantastic show making it's world premiere (I believe) at NYMF. The cast is featuring Amy Spanger and Anthony Rapp. Amy also played the same role in the recent Seattle-area workshop. You all should go and see the show, because it's really very fantastic, and I'm sure it's even better since I saw it.

Forgive me for not knowing but when does this start if it hasn't already. Where can I get more info? I've heard Norbert's songs and I love them, would love to see Anthony and Amy sing them.

To get things right, Anthony Rapp is NOT playing the same role that Norbert played in the reading at the Sh-K-Boom Room.

Go to www.nymf.org and check the schedule there. I'm too lazy to do it myself.

I saw the workshop of this a few months ago, and was left cold by the score. It is very Rent influenced, and extremely repetitive. The performances were first rate, though.

Excuse me. WHAT?!

YES. That's really freakin' exciting. However, it's the second thing of the year that makes me feel really stupid for not subscribing for the year.

re: Feeling Electric at NYMF

When I saw the show it was a bit long, and the story was somewhat muddled (didn't know who's story it was), but the writers know that, I think, so I'm excited to see what kind of changes they're making. I really love Tom Kitt's music, and Brian Yorkey is a really great lyricist/librettist and I'm happy he's getting some wide exposure.
