He seems to be the only critic who isn't swoony over BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON. The stuff on ANYONE CAN WHISTLE is great.

What makes Feingold a particularly good critic is, even when you disagree with him, you perfectly understand why he came to his conclusions.
The fact that David Rooney is now writing for the Times is a very hopeful sign. He's a far more articulate critic than Brantley.
