Is it ironic that an actress playing a Catholic woman in a play in which religion plays a HUGE role is taking off for Passover?
I don't mind. Tovah is of course entitled. I just think it's amusing.

Anyone else catch Tina Benko in for Tovah Feldshuh yesterday in Irena's Vow? I thought she was wonderful...hope she has the chance to play Irena again.
Tina Benko is a fantastic actress. I've enjoyed her work in the past. I really wish her the best. I'm really curious to hear how she did....especially considering that she's like 20 years younger than Tovah, right?
I will go see it if she goes on again. I worked with her in a theater company. She's a lovely and talented person. I wasn't able to make it last night. She does seem awfully young for the role. She's got to be twenty years younger than Tovah. I wonder how that comes across on stage. I'm sure she did really well.

"Life is a cabaret old chum, only a cabaret old chum, and I love a cabaret!"-RIP Natasha Richardson-I was honored to have witnessed her performance as Sally Bowles.
Well, isn't the show told as a flashback when Irena was in her 20s? In that sense, I think it probably makes sense to have a younger actress as the understudy. After all, the person they are talking to play the role in the film is Scarlett Johannson. I think it might be interesting to see the part with a younger understudy...whoa, just had an ALL ABOUT EVE flashback.
