Fiddler On The Roof best recording?

I may have asked this before but can't find it anywhere so I was wondering is the 2004 Bway revival cast recording worth buying or is there a better one?

The Special Edition Original Soundtrack Recording.

I.e The movie.

The special edition has some fantastic bonus tracks, along with the existing bonus of the finest cast and orchestrations the show has even known...

The only reason I would go for the 2004 is it's more complete (the OST doesn't have Tevye's Monologues)

But for my money, i'd definitely buy the movie soundtrack first over anything.

Fiddler on the Roof is probably one of the only musicals to have a PERFECT movie.

I like the 2004 Broadway revival cast recording the best because it was the first, and so far only, production of Fiddler that I've actually seen live and I really like the new song. Plus it is very complete so you get more music than is featured on some of the older recordings.

I didn't much like the 2004 revival on stage but the cast recording is very good. Among Tevye's daughters you get Laura Michelle Kelly as Hodel and the just-prior-to-stardom Leah Michele as Shprintze.

Faced with these Loreleis, what man can moralize!
