That's right. A big-time Hollywood producah thinks you've got what it takes to make it to the big-time as a casting director. They currently want to develop films based on all of this season's new musicals, and want you to cast them without weaselling out by using the entire original cast. You don't have to cast all of them, mind you. Pick one. See if I care.

Here's mine:

9 to 5:
Frances McDormand as Violet Newstead
Anne Hathaway as Judy Bernly
Kristin Chenoweth as Doralee Rhodes
Alec Baldwin as Franklin Hart, Jr.
Kathy Bates as Rosalind Keith
Jason Sudeikis as Joe
Phyllis Smith as Kathy
Molly Shannon as Margaret

Molly Shannon as Margaret would be AMAZING

Without bread we'd just be hungry but without theatre we'd be dead

Next to Normal

Diana: Toni Collette or Jennifer Connelly
Dan: Patrick Wilson
Natalie: Evan Rachel Wood or Jena Malone
Gabe: Emile Hirsch or maybe Hunter Parrish (I was also thinking Ryan Gosling or Jake Gyllenhaal if it weren?t for their ages)

Alison Janney has enough credits in hollywood (I would hope!) that she could reprise her role in 9 to 5.

That's what I'm think MTVMANN. I would think that they could keep the three leads (There aren't any SET ages) & back them up with big names.

I think that Alison Janney is a big enough name...or at least people will recognize her face. There other two...not so much.

And be sure to cast Queen Latifah as something...it's like a law now that she has to be in every movie musical!

Why? Because she's been in two and great in both of them?

Oh wait, I forgot. I loved her as Joanne in Rent. And how amazing a Phantom was she?
